Collection of works of art from the 18th and the 19th centuries

The collection of works of art from the 18th and the 19th centuries contains a very small number of items that originate from the periods of Baroque and late Baroque art. An important part of the collection comprises the materials that originate from the 19th century. They are mostly portraits of citizens and officers of the Brod Fortress, made by anonymous authors, but there are also several landscapes. The collection also contains Biedermeier style works, which were made in the first decades of the 19th century while a separate unit contains a number of portraits made by the travelling painter, Franjo Ksaver Giffinger. In those times the following painters were active: Johhan Mihaljević, Ivan Nepomuk Debeljaković, Stjepan Marjanović  and  Fani Daubachy Brlić.
